Welcome to BLOGGERS OF THE MONTH – a new monthly series (partly inspired by this post written by Imogen) in which I take you through the creators that I have been loving throughout the month.
I cannot tell you how many of you I have been obsessed with in July. I would be here all day if I were to include all of you, so PLEASE do not feel disheartened if you are not featured – know that I think you’re all wonderful (and you may appear in another month).
So, without further ado, here are my July favourites!
Your personal cheerleader, on a one-woman mission to make your life brighter and your blog better.
Never has a tagline been so apt – Ruth is a superhero. Always on hand with advice and support, she NEVER fails to inject positivity into my day. Her blog is a breath of fresh air; a warm hug on a cold day (not that we are seeing many of these at the moment). I recently discovered her wonderful series ‘Celebrate the Wins’ (you can read more here), in which she shares submissions of other’s wins in a particular month – July’s left me grinning from ear to ear. Ruth’s positivity and wonderful advice make her a favourite of mine, and I don’t doubt if you head to her site, she will shortly be a favourite of yours too.
Lizzie has been instrumental in my writing process – without her, I would not have discovered my newfound love of storyboarding, and new ability to develop plot. She is a brilliant writing guru – not only talented, but also superbly encouraging. I am SO grateful for all of the guidance that she gives, whether it appear on Instagram, or in a detailed post such as this one – in which she kindly informs you what is wrong with your novel (spoiler alert, there is lovely twist). Soon, she will be posting instalments of her novel Eleri’s Kingdom on her blog and I cannot tell you how excited (AND READY) I am. If you are a writer in need of advice, or a reader of fantasy, Lizzie is the blogger for you.
Imogen is another dose of positivity in my day – I often head to her blog when in need of a boost. I may never cease talking about this post, in which she talks about her experience at the premiere of Mamma Mia 2, as it is SO LOVELY (and is one of my favourite July posts). There is a range of topics to browse through on her blog (including photography, and university), and if you head on over to her Twitter (I highly recommend you do), you will find her devastatingly brilliant artwork – I believe you can even request a commission, but be quick, because spaces are filling fast. If you are in need of some extra positivity, Imogen is your girl.
Amy is SO supportive; it warms my heart how willing she is to lend a hand to other’s in the blogging community, particularly on Twitter. Her blog is wonderful, containing a little of everything – primarily advice, beauty and lifestyle – and she is living proof that you do not need to have a niche to be popular. If it had not been for this post (sleeping tips catered to warm nights), I do not know where I would be – likely still tossing and turning. I am now getting a decent sleep AND waking up early – I feel like a new woman. If you need some support and encouragement, and enjoy blogs that cover a variety of different issues, head on over to visit Amy.
Long before I hopped into book blogging, I admired the likes of Lucy the Reader, and Beth. Her blog is wonderful – everything from layout to post is exactly how I wanted my blog to be. She is warm, kind, and always has wonderful opinions on books and lifestyle – her monthly wrap-ups (this one is a little more general, and this one fiction related) always fill me with joy. I cannot count how often I find myself nodding along while reading her posts, only to realise when someone asks why I have suddenly morphed into a bobblehead. I cannot express how grateful I am (as a new book blog) to have someone like Beth to look up to. If you’re in need of a book blogging fix, head on over and subscribe to Beth. You won’t regret it.
BECAUSE I CAN’T CONTAIN MYSELF
I wanted to stick to five, otherwise this post would be far too long, but, as I said, I have been obsessed with so many of you this month, that I thought I’d just include a quick list of a few others that I adore:
JAMIE LEE JENKINS – a very lovely fitness, lifestyle and beauty blogger.
EVIE JAYNE – an equally lovely lifestyle, health and travel blogger.
JODIE MELISSA – a new find, whose channel is a wonderful morning watch, or evening wind down.
FLAWKWARD BLOG – two wonderful ladies fangirling, and sharing their advice and awkward moments.
Once again, please don’t feel sad or left out if you’re not there, I just can’t include everyone. But I’ll always be on the look out for people to feature, so don’t worry.
If you have a moment, please do visit all of these wonderful people, and let them know if you fall in love with their blog too, and let me know who YOU’VE been loving in the comments below!
As always, thank you for reading!
